Oklahoma vs. Texas Preview
The Red River Rivalry. Both teams used to have elite Quarterbacks at the college level last year. Sam Bradford who was a Junior and hardly played due to injury and Colt McCoy who I think should have won the heisman last season a senior. Now the Starting QB for Oklahoma is Landry Jones and for Texas it is Garrett Gilbert who in my opinion has done a horrible job for the Texas Longhorns. He has 4 interceptions and 4 TD's. Now I I'm totally fine with someone having four Interceptions if they have like 8 touchdowns. Another bad thing Garrett Gilbert has done is led his team to a loss against the UCLA Bruins. Now that's embarrassment. When Texas was coming into this season I thought Gilbert would have a great season. Especially with how he led his team to a comeback against Alabama in the National championship last season. Now the only reason he was in was because McCoy had, had a minor injury that game. But I thought he would lead his team to great things and look what he's done. Now Landry Jones he had to play like all season last year because of Bradford having that shoulder injury. He did great last year and has done even better this year. His highlight game this season was against FSU when he threw for 380 yards and 4 TD's. I even thought FSU was going to win and Oklahoma and Landry Jones proved me wrong. Now one reason Texas lost to UCLA was because of their defense. Their defense has been horrible this season. I mean they let up 17 points to Rice, 7 points against Wyoming (good), 14 to Texas Tech, and 34 to UCLA. They are 32nd in points against with an average of 18. Then in points for them they are 68th in the nation with 68 points. This team is not who I thought they would be this season. In one word they are "BAD". Then I'm seeing a whole lot on offense for the Oklahoma Sooners, they are 36th in the nation in points for with an average per game of 34.0. Which of course they have only faced one Top-25 team. But then again they put style points on the board for the other teams. I predict that Oklahoma wins this game 35-14.
