To help North Carolina's NCAA investigation Butch Davis is releasing his personal cell phone records to the media covering the investigation. Davis didn't say when he would release the records. In my opinion if his phone records are clean it should help UNC's penalties probably lower them.

Rutgers Football Player Eric LeGrand stood on a football field on Thursday during his recovery from a spinal cord injury he endured against Army. On day in which he stood, he stood for 7 minutes. The day later, he stood for 8 minutes. LeGrand said, "This is what I learned at Rutgers. Mental toughness. All those drills we do when we're out there, dying on the field. Had to just do it anyway to get through it and not get screamed at. This is how I live my life." LeGrand can feel his muscles moving in his biceps, triceps, back and chest. Standing on a football field was a huge step in his recovery.

The NFL Draft is now over and now we'll see how teams look after  the Draft.

Begining with the ACC, Boston College, Duke, Virginia, Georgia Tech and Maryland were all unaffected by the Draft, since most seniors from these schools were either never drafted in any league or were drafted in the UFL or CFL.
FSU and Virginia Tech were affected a lot, having star QB's taken in the draft. They will have to rebuild a little bit, but they will easily recover. Then there's Miami, UNC and Clemson who worry me. Miami lost a ton of good players and I think they will need this year to be a scrub season to rebuild. Same with UNC, except for the fact that I think they have a great QB to replace T.J Yates in Bryn Renner, who I know will amount to something. The there's Clemson, who I think has the least troulble to worry about, even without Da'Quan Bowers. With a good offense, Clemson can win the ACC this year.

Next time, I will look at the Big East and how the Draft affected them.

Cam Newton is leaving Auburn for the NFL. I don't agree with his decision, but I'm not in his place. But it's not my decsion. The experts here have Cam going in the early to middle first round.

In the second quarter of the Miami Hurricanes loss to the Virginia Cavaliers, QB Jacory Harris took a hard hit and has now been diagnosed with a concussion. Harris won't start on Saturday. Stephen Morris will start instead. The Hurricanes decided burn Stephen's Redshirt, to play him. Coach Randy Shannon had theis to say about Morris, "It was tough, but we were trying to win the game. A.J. has been having this hand injury that has affected him, and we played Spencer, but we felt like now was the time for Stephen Morris to get a shot. He has a little bit stronger arm and we went to him. He did some nice things in the game. It was great to see him get three touchdowns." Harris is a little sore but is in a great mood.

The PAC-10 Conference has invited the Mountain West Conference team the Utah Utes to join the PAC-10. The Mountain West Conference has already gotten new member, in Boise State, who will be an active part of the Mountain West Conference effective in 2011. That means if Utah moves to the PAC-10 the Mountain West Conference has already found its replacement. I honestly think that Utah will join the PAC-10 because it gives them a higher chance to get a bid to a BCS-Bowl or even the BCS National Champiobship game. So will Utah go Pacific? Will Utah go PAC-10 and leave the Mountain West Conference? We should find out soon?

UCF has been put on two years probation after the NCAA said UCF committed "major" football recruiting violations. Two UCF employees sent about 200 non-permissible phone calls and 100 non-permissible text messages. The university reported their the violations to the NCAA themselves.

BJ Daniels, South Florida QB, will undergo surgery on his non-throwing shoulder on February 5, 2010. He is expected to be out for at least 4 to 6 weeks. The Bulls are scheduled to begin practice on March 16. The Bulls are tentatively scheduled to begin spring practice March 16. "As much as we would love for him to participate fully in spring practice, our No. 1 objective is to make sure he has a complete and healthy recovery," new Bulls coach Skip Holtz said in a statement. "I'm sure he wants to be out there going full bore with his teammates on a daily basis, but his participation in meetings and in practice will be very beneficial to his progress as a quarterback."
