Former Louisiana Tech Head Coach Derek Dooley has just became the newest head coach for the Tennessee Volunteers football program. Dooley replaced former Tennessee head coach and current USC Head Coach Lane Kiffin. Dooley said, "How could you ask for anything more than the University of Tennessee." He helped Nick Saban earn two number one recruiting classes at LSU.

Former DE for the Clemson Tigers Gaines Adams passed away this morning. Adams was 26 years old. He passed away due to an enlarged heart. Adams current team, the Chicago Bears, will miss him quite a bit.

As you probably know by Stanford Cardinal Running Back Toby Gerhart has made a decision to enter the NFL Draft. Gerhart, who still has one year of eligibilty, finished second last year in the Heisman Trophy Race. This could have been a smart decision for Gerhart because, if you remember Tim Tebow, the 2007 Heisman Memorial Trophy Winner, came back for his senior season and got hurt. Sam Bradford, the 2008 Heisman Trophy Winner, came back and got hurt and hardly played at all the whole season. So overall I am very pleased with Toby's decision

With all the buzz going around Urban Meyer taking a leave of absence and Bobby Bowden retiring there is hardly any room left for USC Head Coach Pete Carroll. Carroll, has agreed in principle to a deal with the Seattle Seahawks to Head Coach them. Carroll's deal could be a 5 year 35 million dollar. Carroll is making his return to the NFL for the first time since the 1999 season. His record as a NFL Head Coach is 33-31.

Arkansas Quarterback Ryan Mallet has made a decison to NOT enter the 2010 NFL Draft. Mallet still has two years of eligibility left at the college level. I can certainly tell  you this their is definitely one team who is very happen about this decison made by Mallet. That team is the Arkansas Razorbacks. I mean, without Mallet who the heck would the Razorbacks be. However, if they still had running back Darren McFadden that would be completly different story. This Daulton with the SEC Buzz signing off.
